Lumen is the setting's original term for the magical resource that lets a practitioner produce lawful supernatural effects. It can be transferred, stored, channeled, and transformed within the restrictions of a particular working.

Capacity is not output
Lunor and the Sanctum possess effectively inexhaustible overall potential by the established sixteenfold power benchmark. This does not mean every manifestation, conduit, or spell can discharge that potential at once. Real-time throughput and control remain finite or context-dependent.

Conservation
Lumen cannot be generated from nothing during an ordinary working. A source must be accessible, and the effect must have a valid mechanism. The constants' vast potential is an exceptional property, not a free-energy trick available to normal practitioners.
